Congratulations to all of today’s nominees. I am proud to see my cousin Ms. Bernadette Howell of Joan Macy School of La Verne receive this honor. Our family dates back to our Grandmother who had been a teacher for many years and this profession has been continued over my 60+ years. I too am an educator in Special Education and knowing Bernadette had pursued this profession, I know my late Aunt and late Uncle are so proud of her.
